These Terms and Conditions explain how 865 Workshop handles sales, payments, shipping, and responsibilities. By purchasing an item from this website, you agree to the terms listed below.
865 Workshop is a sole‑proprietor business located in Anderson County, Tennessee. The business restores and sells vintage clocks and related items.
All items are sold AS‑IS. These clocks are vintage mechanical devices that may show normal signs of age. Each clock is cleaned, lubricated, adjusted, and tested before shipping. When the item ships it will be packaged to preserve the integrity of the item and secure enough to prevent damage and tampering. All packages will be marked "Fragile" however, due to the circumstances beyond my control I can not expressly garuntee that the carrier will handle them that way. Also, because these items are decades old, future performance cannot be guaranteed.
All sales are final.
865 Workshop does not accept returns and does not offer refunds for any reason other than carrier‑caused damage during shipping.
Examples of situations that do not qualify for refunds:
You are underwhelmed or change your mind.
You did not understand that mechanical clocks must be wound and will stop when they run down.
You are unfamiliar with setting up or maintaining a mechanical clock.
You believe the clock should operate differently than described.
Instructions for setup and basic operation are provided when possible, but the buyer is responsible for proper use and ongoing care.
Items are shipped from ZIP code 37917. Tracking is provided when available.
If an item is damaged in transit:
Contact 865 Workshop within 48 hours of delivery.
Provide photos of the damage and packaging.
865 Workshop will file a claim with the carrier on your behalf.
A refund will be issued only if the carrier approves the claim. Keep in mind that claims can take some time to process.
No other refunds are offered.
Mechanical clocks require:
Proper setup
Level mounting
Regular winding
Occasional adjustment
These responsibilities belong to the buyer. Normal mechanical behavior, including running down, stopping, or needing adjustment, is not considered a defect and is not grounds for a refund.
865 Workshop is not liable for:
Misuse
Improper setup
Future mechanical issues
Incidental or indirect damages
Any outcome beyond the original purchase price
Damages during transit
Liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the item and only in cases where a carrier damage claim is approved.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. No payment information is stored on this website.
This website does not collect personal information beyond what is needed to complete a purchase. Payment details are handled by Stripe according to their security standards.
